Some govt allies are corrupt, others are terrorists: Nawaz Sharif

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Nawaz Sharif said on Wednesday that he has never seen such a corrupt government throughout his life.
"Corruption is going on day and night. Some among the government allies are involved in corruption and some are involved in terrorism," Nawaz said while addressing a public gathering in connection with the launch of "Go Zardari Go" movement here in Dera Ghazi Khan.

The PML-N chief said despite being proven to be involved in corruption and terrorism some people are enjoying the posts of ministers. "Some of them are directly involved in corruption while the brothers of some of them are also involved in corruption," Nawaz said without elaborating.
Nawaz said during his visit to the flood-hit areas of Sindh, he realised that the government does not exist there.
He said he did not demand any personal favour from the PPP government butinsisted on fulfillment of promises. He said Musharraf imprisoned the judges and the PML-N got them released through a popular movement. He said President Asif Ali Zardari was not willing to restore the judges. Nawaz said the PPP did not fulfil any of its promises and the PML-N did not trust it either.
The PML-N chief said the country was developing during his tenure but his government was toppled by the dictator. He said he was kept in solitary confinement for 14 months and was not allowed to attend the funeral of his father. "This was out of sheer love for my people that I did not quit politics," he said.
He said the country would have been much developed if his government were not toppled by the dictator. He said the PML-N wants to establish peace in the country.
