NA session disrupted by “PML-N MQM uproar


ISLAMABAD: National Assembly hall was echoed with slogans chanted by the lawmakers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) against each other’s parties on Thursday, DawnNews reported.

Members of PML-N and MQM confronted each other with chants and came very close to be engaged in a ‘street-fight’ after the Opposition Leader Chaudhry Nisar lashed out at the MQM during his address.

Following Nisar’s address N-league MNAs Abid Sher Ali and Hanif Abbasi exchanged coarse language with the MQM MNAs Sajid Ahmed and Iqbal Ahmed Ali.

Members of both parties then advanced towards each other as if they were about to start a physical fight. They were seperated by the senior members of both parties. During this time assembly’s proceedings were halted for a brief period.

women members of the house protested against the incident and condemned the use of such vulger language.

The opposition leader, subsequently demanded to make seating arrangement for MQM’ lawmakers on treasury rather than opposition benches.
